Fishing Trips
Fishing trips can be divided into
Offshore (Deep sea fishing) or inshore fishing. The west
coast of BC Canada, has some incredible fishing, whether its
for Salmon, Halibut, Cod, Prawn or Crab.
Trips depart from Ucluelet / Tofino area of Vancouver Island,
and cover fishing grounds including; Tofino, Ucluelet, Barkley Sound, Alberni
Inlet, as well as the "Broken Group
Islands" in and around Pacific Rim National Park and up to
20 miles offshore.
Deep sea fishing trips for Salmon and
Halibut depart from
Ucluelet BC. Depending on where the fish are, we go
anywhere from five to twenty miles off the west coast of
southern Vancouver Island; to areas on the outer banks
called La Perouse Bank
where we fish at depths ranging from 120 to 350 Feet.
Inshore fishing can be very productive
and is perfect when weather conditions are not ideal for
deep sea fishing, or shorter 4 or 6 hour trips. Most of our
inshore trips are in Barkley Sound and Alberni Inlet which
includes the spectacular scenery of the "Broken Group
Islands" and "Pacific
Rim National Park."

British Columbia Fishing Licences
Fishing licenses may be purchased in Ucluelet at the
Island West Marina or Canadian Princess Resort. Fishing
licenses may also be found in Port Alberni at Gone
Fishing, Canadian Tire, or Clutest Haven Marina.
BC Saltwater Fishing Licences may also be purchased
online from
Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Large Fish Need Large Coolers.
Styrofoam coolers are available at several places in
Ucluelet but are very pricey.

Warm clothes, a hat,
sensible footwear,
sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Health
Sea-sickness pills are advised for anyone not used to
deep sea fishing, or who tend to be susceptible to
motion sickness. We also recommend you bring any
critical medications with you and make your guide aware
any health issues.
