All fishing groups should expect to have a good chance of catching their limits of Salmon and Halibut.

Please note that fishing licenses are not supplied. All persons are required to have Canadian fishing licences on fishing trips. Fishing licenses may be purchased in Ucluelet at the Island West Marina or Canadian Princess Resort. Fishing licenses may also be found in Port Alberni at Gone Fishing, Canadian Tire, or Clutest Haven Marina.

Fishing guests should bring their own large coolers. Styrofoam coolers are available at several places in Ucluelet but are very pricey.

All fish are cleaned and bagged by the fishing guides. Fish can be stored on salt ice or frozen, or can be sent to St. Jeans Smoke Cannery.

We provide all guests with Mustang full-body floatation anti-exposure suits to protect from rain or cold. These suits meet with Coast Guard regulations requiring Personal Floatation Devices.

Sea-sickness pills are advised for some groups.

Remember your camera and lots of film. Other personal items should include sunglasses and sunscreen, thermos, hat, and warm clothes. Remember: Large coolers and Canadian Fishing Licenses are essential.
