Tofino / Ucluelet - Getting Here

Driving: Ucluelet is accessible by road on Vancouver Island along Highway 4 west from Port Alberni . The trip through the Island Mountain Chain is breath-taking and travelers are advised to bring extra film. A picnic lunch is often advisable for those who might wish to stop and enjoy the sights along the way. Ferry's are available to Vancouver Island landing at Victoria , Nanaimo, Comox, and Port Hardy.

Alberni Ferry: Enjoy a four hour mini-cruise from Port Alberni aboard the M.V. Francis Barkley, a coastal freighter and passenger ferry that runs between Port Alberni and Ucluelet with several scenic stops enroute. Please note the M.V.Francis Barkley does not accommodate vehicle traffic.

By Air: Tofino-Ucluelet Airport (YAZ) has a brand new terminal located between Ucluelet and Tofino adjacent to the long beach golf course, with well maintained paved runway that can accommodate virtually any wheeled aircraft. Tofino-Ucluelet Airport accommodates both regular scheduled flights as well as charter aircraft.
Car rentals are available at the airport.

Float Plane: Touch down anywhere in the waters surrounding picturesque Ucluelet just 20 minutes after leaving Port Alberni, 45 minutes from Vancouver, or 1 hour from Seattle.
