The inshore fishery is what started all guided fishing. Short travel times combined with flat water and great scenery are some of the attractions. Big Chinook in shallow water, equals explosive hook-ups and rippin runs. Trophy sized Chinook and Coho move into Barkley Sound in early June and feed until the end of September. These fish tunnel in from offshore waters to spawn in their native costal rivers and streams. The majority of these fish are heading for the Robertson Creek Hatchery. This hatchery has been in operation since 1972 and releases 10 million Chinook and 1 million Coho annually, so the returning numbers of fish are exceptional. Traveling time is short and the waters are well protected allowing us to fish almost immediately in the morning. We are located right in the middle of the salmon fishing grounds. This is a great way to experience big game salmon fishing on the West Coast of Vancouver Island B.C. easily and affordably.
